I miss the format of Cubits too, where you could have a whole forum on say, starting from seed.
What I recommend for you to do is use the star system here. It is the next best thing for looking for something in a buried thread. If there is a post that you think you might want to look at again later (your own or someone else's), just click on the star and it will be saved on your profile page. When you bring it up again from your profile page the list of threads that have a starred post comes up.
You will want to use this sparingly because you still have to physically search through the list of threads where the starred posts appear.
If you haven't tried this, feel free to look at my starred posts on my profile page and click on one to see how the specific post comes up. It is like bookmarking something but more convenient because it is all on your profile page.
