The first one doesn't look any different yet but the 2nd one is about to open the first leaf. I can't believe out of all the winters when Caladiums didn't survive, these chose to stay alive over the especially long and harsh winter. The area where they are is under the porch roof, so rain splashes there but doesn't hit directly. I suspect the more-dry-while-cold condition had something to do with it. Maybe like so many marginally hardy plants that can be finagled into surviving if they don't get soggy while cold.
Time to move the little snips I put there. This Cal needs room to spread her wings!
