I've had a night blooming cerus for about 20 years. It's HUGE! I found that if you let it just begin to open (say, about 9 PM), cut it right at the leaf, bring it inside and put it in a vase of water......it will continue to open right in front of your eyes! This way I get to enjoy the full show, it scents the whole room, and I don't have to be devoured by mosquitoes running in and out of the house to see it! I highly recommend this method.
