I am mowing today edging all the flower beds and hoping my grandson comes and finishes the job. I have two fairly large beds that need major rehabilitation before I give any thought to digging more lawn. I rarely mention personal things but my wife of 46 years was very ill last year and I spent most of my time caring for her and the garden was neglected. She passed away right after Christmas and now I have lots of time but regrettably lack a little ambition. I ordered many iris when the catalogs came because it allowed me to think of other things than my problems. I have a number of doilies that were done by my Mother and Grandmother and have a few out in the house........My grandson just called and is coming to finish the lawns Thumbs up
