Always good advice. We in the Southwest deserts need these reminders constantly.

I'll share that managing time in heat and sun is done before, during and after exposure. Water/sodium balance is important re stroke and electrolytes. Good idea to keep a drink like Pedialyte in the fridge during the hot days.

I have elderly friends who intentionally reduced sodium in their diet to near nothing and both (married couple) experienced stroke within hours of each other.

I understand it's not a helpful to take in salt DURING exposure or exercise. It takes the water FROM tissue.
“Don't give up too quickly"... unknown, I heard it somewhere.
