Susie you are my favorite encyclopedia!
I have lived in 3 different neighborhoods where grass was not allowed in the front yards, only rock. It was hard to achieve a lot of color there but I was able to do it with yellows, purples and hot pink blooming plants.
Today was amazingly cooler here... not sure what the high ended up to be but I think 96. Cloudy right now but no rain in my area yet.
