It looks more and more like Mississippi will be spared. It seems that every update shows the path more west. Now the center of the cone is even west of New Orleans. Of course hurricanes are moved mainly by high pressure and the high pressure over northern Georgia is what's pushing Isaac west. If that high pressure weakens or moves east, the hurricane will no longer be pushed west.
