Joanna: What a clever idea! I must try this one ... there's a thorny holly that grows in front of out meter that gets so tall the utility folks can't read the meter. I try to keep it pruned back but it's hard to keep in check sometimes. They are supposed to be installing some new type of computerized meter which can be read remotely and they don't have to come out to do it, but until that happens I think I'm going to try your trick of the bottomless nursery pot. Thanks for this great tip! Thumbs up
