I have a new orchid! It was a gift from my orchid angel. It is a beautiful phal with two spikes and wonderful blooms. Thumb of 2011-06-14/belaschick/0ddf1b
I don’t think there was an ID was there Kathy?

I went to orchid Heaven yesterday. Actually a gardener’s Heaven. Kathy’s photos are amazing, but they do not compare to seeing the plants at her home. Everything was amazingly beautiful with all of the complimentary plantings. It was a total sensory experience. Sitting on her porch I could view the gardens, hear the brook and the songbirds, and savor mingling fragrances that subtly changed as the breeze shifted.

Thank you Kathy for two beautiful orchids and a garden tour that lifted my spirits.

The other plant is a baby Blc. George King 'Southern Cross'. I was admiring someone's Blc. George King Serenity, which is a parent of this plant I believe. This is what it will look like when it matures.

Even my Aerangis Biloba is happier lately. I purchased it with what the seller believed was a spike. It struggled a bit until I moved it further from the window on Boo's advice. The spikes (two now) grew to almost three inches, but lately they have started to look darker and a bit droopier than I felt they should (how I know this, with no experience and never having laid eyes on such a plant before, I have no idea), but I moved it again, started giving it rainwater, and it seems to be perking up. I'll post a photo tomorrow in "Anticipation"
