The AHS database photo looks enhanced from looking at the background.

And all daylilies look different in different growing conditions - soil, sun, amendments etc.

Is it the parent of your seedlings? What are you using for breeding?

Thank you Lilylady for the Owens tip, I am 62 years old, had a heart transplant ten years ago went back to work three weeks after like nothing ever happened with no complications up to now, I work for the county and come home every day for an hour lunch and to dab pollen, I have a half acre slap full of these things. As far as what I work with, Well I use a lot of the newer stuff, but like I mentioned before I love the whites and toothy ones, I also want to create some huge ones like the very ruffled sdlng pictured, I use King Solomon alot on it. Thank you!
