Thea, happy to reply. Pentas is sold "as an annual" here. IDK how far north they send this plant. It's a very long bloomer, stopping only when frost gets it. Worthwhile to bring home if you're buying "annuals."

Cal, I've seen that as a nickname too, but at 6 syllables, it seems like a huge mouthful vs. the 2 syllables of the actual name.

Gina, part of me wishes I lived out of town where deer would be a problem but the other part of me is glad to live in town where there are no deer. There are definitely deer in the general area, but I haven't seen any or heard any reports of them here in town.
