Beats me.... one thing I noticed was that the stem and pedicels on my 'Pink Dream' are very dark reddish colored, not green at all. I went out and checked and they have lightened up now to mostly green but still quite dark on the lower part of the stem.



Compare to the photos you posted, Brian, where the pedicels appear to be green. The photo of Pearl Jessica in my Lily Nook catalog shows a dark reddish stem and pedicels. But these photos of PJ appear to be green. Note that the last two photos of PJ show the reverse:

The 2nd supplement of the lily register describes the stem of PJ as being green. That would seem to point away from PJ and PD being the same. Testing PD for tetraploidy would provide more information so I may try that next year if I remember.
