Funny you should ask. I was going to make a separate post about "Suitable as Annual" and "Suitable as a houseplant" and how we define them.
Personally I wouldn't grow any banana as an annual by choice, although I have by accident,
but in a single growing season, even in colder zones, they do attain significant size. I've noticed this checked for other fast growers as well. Colocasia and Xanthosoma for example. Even the Caladium I have I'll save the tubers for next year. I'm fine with taking that out of either or both.
