Much better than wild persimmons ! We have a wild one on the side of the house. I made a point of getting some of the fruit before the squirrels this summer. Not so tasty. Thought I had photos of it, but can't find. Will look on my phone.

Glad you tried one, Dave. Have you tried pineapple guavas? 'Another addiction in the fall!
