We had an ice storm here some 15 years or so back and it was horrible. We slept in our cars which we had gassed up before the storm, and after the generator and our backup gas ran out until some lovely neighbors made it up our roadway with the chainsaws. We then were able to get out and got to a motel. But 5 days of it were all I could handle with out going absolutely nuts. When Katrina hit I just couldn't fathom how those people made it through. And my prayers are definitely with those in need now.
