A gringo?Where?(does a doubletake)
Hello everyone,
I have just obtained a yellow version of the walking iris that blooms every single day with a new bloom during its blooming season. I saw this phenomenon on blooms that I cut off another plant for my wife (ain't I romantic) & these blooms lasted for 3 weeks with sugar water & light.
I later acquired young plants which I am now growing. My question is when these plants are mature, how do I induce blooming in a tropical environment(I am living in Tumaco, Colombia in South America). I know with roses you can reduce lighting hours, & remove nitrogen from their plant food. Is there a trick like this relating to irises as well?

Many thanks,
Noel Calvert
