One of the useful qualities of Poison Ivy is food for the wildlife, especially birds, they love the seeds.
I volunteer at a wildscape restoration and we have a lot of it, we have to be careful and avoid touching it.
We have a volunteer who is not allergic to it and he comes regularly to remove as much as possible from around the paths
to keep visitors safe.
I have never been affected by it, but I am careful to avoid it, maybe I am not allergic to it, but I am afraid to test it, so I guess I will just keep avoiding it.
