Masud has good advice Noel, I'd use compost and some good jungle dirt. If you need fertilizer, look for an agricultural store as they generally have a larger selection than a store selling to gardeners. Also, it can be a big problem for someone to import fertilizer. It's on most airlines no fly list and is excluded by most countries as well, something to do with making explosives.
