lol I should have known the part about plant food & explosives being ex-military! Hmm I took his advice already. Infact , I will be posting new photos very soon as I just came back from my trip to Ecuador. On my way back to Tumaco, I collected about 40 plants. Some with leaves bigger than I am. I am going to need help identifying them! I am sure I got a monstera I have not encountered before. It looks like a monstera deliciosa, but is a bird nest type with a sandpaper feel to the petioles.

Also, the fertilizer I have is from an agriculture store here. I will go back with my wife to look for other concentrations.
