Most daylilies you have to cut back at some point in the year anyway, so if you have a dormant you like, Va. seems a perfect place for them. I personally like the dormants, even here in FL. They have such nice foliage in the spring. Lotus Position is a great example of that. Not to say, as mentioned above, sometimes they just dwindle a bit each year, I find that true no matter what they are. Some I just cant seem to keep going no matter what I do.
