Teresa, this is not really quilt related, but did you know that Dottie Warrell, hybridizer of Holly Dancer and many other really nice spideries as well as traditional forms - well, she is a fantastic crochet and (I think??) knit person. Each winter, she designs and makes at least 10 afghans. She enters them in contests, state fairs etc, and has had many on the covers of Coats and Clarks and many other magazines. In that world, she is just as well known as she is in daylilies. She made the most wonderful wrap for me. I've seen lots of her afghans and they are wonderful!
