Noel, the local nursery owner may not know the Botanical or English names of plants but he knows them in his local language. He might be illiterate, dirty, smelly but he is in the nursery trade because he has the aptitude and empathy required by plants. What I am trying to explain is if you rope him in and show your photographs, he will easily reduce the pile by half and will also explain to you the reason why. The rest will indeed be worth while but like Evan says we enjoy your pictorial journey. That veined leaf plant that i pointed out, that is a juvenile form of some Philodendron or it is Philodendron bipinnatifidum under low light conditions but you were not concentrating on that one. If you get the chance get a few photographs of that one. As to Lianas, Philodendrons maybe Lianas but not all Lianas are Philodendrons. Check up on net maybe you will find a better explanation then mine.
Regards,
Arif.
