Now Jonna, when are you going to open an Old Joints Club in your balmy weather in winters It might be a roaring success

We do have wonderful weather in the winter, I try to talk my friends into visiting and while some do many have bought into the stories of a dangerous Mexico that are common in the US. I can't blame them, I read the US news too and it sounds horrible. It isn't dangerous where I live and Mexico is a very large country but that's hard to explain to those who haven't been here. It's like saying you shouldn't go to Portland Oregon because of the killings in Connecticut.

There is a norte going through here this week with overcast muggy days and even some rain. My neighbors who live in Washington DC most of the time were running the air conditioner the whole week they were here. I don't think it is that humid but it has been more like June than January.

I live in the center of the city and tonight we walked to the central square to hear a concert by one of my favorite singers, Lila Downs. It was a fabulous concert, lots of people and the sound was incredibly good for an outdoor event. We walked home about 6 blocks around 10pm with no worries, it is a very safe place that I live.
A day without sunshine is like, you know, night.
