Hello guys,
Here is the plant that I was asked about. I think I have an ID for it considering the other plants in the area. I believe it is a juvenile Monstera pinnatipartita Schott since that plant is basically covering everything in the immediate area. The only difference I can see is the light colored leaves, & papery feeling instead of leathery. I think both are results of low light conditions though.
Arif,
I have done several searches for the other plant in that photo using every variation of Lianas, philodendrons , long leaf, & anything else I can think of. I am still working on it though. Any help is appreciated.
Evan,
you mentioned you liked seeing me or my wife in the photos for scale to show the actual size. Well I am exactly 6 feet tall, & about 175 pounds. My wife is under 5 feet even, & about 100 pounds. You see me there looking at 1 & 1/2 long leaves further up the tree. This plant is literally engulfing this tree's trunk. I have a photo of something else that is odd though. Check this out.
