It doesn't strike me as an *all the time* blue flowered variety. From what I've been able to find, it looks most like 'May Night'. Viewed from any kind of distance, the bloom stalks appear dark violet.
I think I'll just add it to the entry as Violet Sage (Salvia nemorosa).
