Hi, Teresa.

I've bought seeds at all kinds of places over the years. Locally at the Dollar Store, Walmart, Home Depot, Walgreens...

Most of them I order online from websites. A few places I use are
Swallowtail
Stokes
Summer Hill
Harris Seeds
Parks
Pinetree
There are lots of them!

Bigger, deeper wintersown containers should work better for you. Milk jugs and plastic 2 liter bottles are ideal. I shoot for at least 3 to 4" of soil depth, though, after rain and snow, it does compress to less. And remember, the seedlings will need some head room as they grow.
