Heavy frost here this morning. I'm not complaining because the recent ice storms skirted us for the most part.

When I looked out the window this almost looked like a plant in bloom rather than old bloom/seed stalks. Not as dramatic as Verbesina virginica but still pretty. It's my Joe Pye (Eupatorium maculatum).
