Seriously - what it was is that a friend of my mom's was moving away and had what I would later find out was a Euphorbia, but I called it my "Adam's Family plant" my mom and everyone else just called it that stick plant!! 
But I loved that little thing! Very much like Charlie Brown's christmas tree! 
I keep thinking I'll get another one, but now that I'm into other succulents, I'm not as attracted to the stick thing!
