I lived in Mississippi for two years. I totally know what you are talking about Tee. You can't even dry off after a shower during summer. We lived in the delta part of MS.
Hair and clothes would stick to you, all damp with moisture from air and body.

Sempervivum will not grow there. They soon rot and die.
