South America is full of amazing plants that we in other climatic conditions would love to grow. That savanna area is extremely rich in flora and fauna but the links are on my kaput machine. Other then that if you want muggy, then look at the flora of Sri Lanka or Far East Asia. Here also links problem or I would have sent them. Then we have in some corner the Australian Forum which you can take a look at.

Do a search of the countries according to the Koppen map and you may find a lot of rot proof plants.
As to when we migrate to some thing better ask Dave. Rick has done his part and that thread is hibernating. Want to wake it up?
