The tree was already there when we bought the house. I don't know which kind it is. It's a fairly small tree, but is usually loaded with fruit without any fertilizer and minimum water.

If the one "down the street" has small black/purple fruit, it's probably a wild persimmon. The wild persimmon has a beautifully marked bark.
