Patty, if you have one that is giving you problems for to much rain, you can pot it up in dry potting soil and place it in a bright but protected (from rain) area.

As far as replanting the surgically cut in-two semp. I would think we need to plant it in the direction it came out of the ground, bottom first into dry potting soil. With maybe a light mist of water after a few days.
