I started on my spring garden chores even thought I sure doesn't feelk like spring. Cleaned out my two 35 gallon ponds. Those fill with leaves each fall and winter and the longer you leave them in the spring, the more they rot and stink. It was so cold today there wasn't much stink. Hilarious!

I usually bail them out, clean and refill them but the hose is frozen so I couldn't refill. That will have to wait.

I also made a trench and planted my super sugar snap peas in ground. Was just going to get ready with the trench and leave the planting to a warmer day. But then last minute just decided to plant them cold or no cold. I still have another pea patch to plant and also the pots I use for peas to plant. I will just wait a bit on that.

Then I was tying back some larger branches on my roses next to my garage. Those are two big shrubs which must be about 8 feet tall by now and quide wide. I find them easier to deal with if I tie and prune before they leaf out.

Next up on the garden agenda is spring cleanup and the big spring rose prunning. After the prunning would be the fertilizing. Hopefully somewhere in there my spring bulbs will really start to pop.
