Jojoe, on a different thread I remember reading something that "Twitcher" said, (I'm not quoting, just remembering) when you remove chicks its best to take the stem part ("stolon") with the chick, not leaving it behind on the "hen" She'll send out more babies faster that way and it gives the chicks an anchor. If you are willing to baby them I've found that I can take the chicks off pretty early, I usually put them in a pot if they're too small, just to keep and eye on them. They grow pretty quickly!! So yes, I'd say take the plants out of your new strawberry pot and plant them all around your bed! How exciting Hurray! I tip my hat to you.
