I love my Mom's garden Steve! I always see something that I want to try too. I actually check her compost pile every time I visit, I told her she is not allowed to toss anything until I see if I can use it! She often tires of something and into the compost it goes and then she'll see it again at a nursery or another garden and wish she had kept it longer. She just doesn't have enough room and some things have to make room for newer acquisitions.
Her routine every morning it to go out back in her robe and peruse through the whole garden, clipping things here and there. She always seems to be potting up something or planting something in a newly emptied spot. I think gardening keeps her active and healthy and she'll keep doing it as long as she can.
