I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database!
Just wanted to give follow-up on EuroDesert.

I had ordered Abracadabra. About a 6 weeks ago I got an email from Cliff asking me if I still wanted this rose. Very detailed, including info that it didn't always bloom true, and that his plants were very small. I told him that many years back I had ordered one Rose the Fairy from Springhill (almost 20 years ago now Big Grin ) and the cuttings from that one little rose ended up becoming shrubs surrounding a 10 x20 ft. deck by rooting them directly in mulch, so the size wasn't an issue for me. I also told him that, thanks to you all, I know that it could revert to Black Beauty. Since I had also thought about purchasing Black Beauty, it wouldn't upset me if that happened.

When Cliff sent my order, he included BOTH Black Beauty (which I hadn't ordered Thumbs up ) and Abracadabra with a note saying that since the plants were so small, he enclosed both.

After a bit of time in pots, I placed both roses in my newest rose bed. Within a month Abracadabra had produced a lovely little bloom-true to color!

I was so very pleased with his communication, generosity, and caring for his roses, that I just ordered three more during his 'end of season' sale.

Five stars from me!
