There has been this hole in the upright post of our mailbox since before we bought this place. Today as I went to check the mail a bluebird was kind of squawking & I had noticed flew up to the power line as I had approached. I got a funny feeling. So I took me a peek inside the hole. Actually, the hole looks like something gnawed it into being a hole. I had never paid much attention to how it got there. But upon closer inspection it looks like maybe squirrels gnawed it.
Approaching & I see an egg right there at the opening & it's a bluebird egg!

Now you can see where it looks like it was gnawed & if you look deep inside (embiggen) you can see 2 more eggs
