Fun for me to see Whispering. You may know this but it was introduced by the late Melba Hamblen, She created many lovely irises, often with startling beards. I remember how excited I was to see a pink with a blue beard for the first time in her seedling rows. A visit to her garden was a treat because she grew quest plants from all the top hybridizers.
