I have been collecting daylilies since last October and I have never seen a Display Garden, hopefully I will locate one before they fade away like last year. October was too late to go looking.
I gave gotten a lot of daylilies from the Lily Auction, got some great deals and it gave my garden a good start, I purchased from Blueridge, Mike144Mann, Abundantdaylilies, and lots of others, you can check out LA sellers thread and see some nice pictures. I also purchased from several people on the daylily forum and all were wonderful, you can lurk or just ask about their screen names on LA. Besides that I love several websites Maryott's, Floyd Cove and Marietta's. These people will give you advice also if you call them, they are just wonderful to work with and the have fabulous daylilies. A lot of times Maryott's has BOGO and he was the first person I ever ordered from when I goggled a flower I saw on the internet.
If you see something you like, be sure to look it up in the database to be sure it meets your requirements. You can read about the different types like dormant, evergreen and semi-evergreen and make your decisions from there. Also the database will tell you about which time of the year that it blooms, late, early, mid. The height of the scapes in inches, and also the flower it self. It is a wealth of information and also pictures and comments from gardeners.
Well there is my two cents worth, good luck with your new garden!
