You might go to the AHS Database and do an advanced search and look for Elizabeth (E.H. Salter) Salter's diploids. She has a lot of patterns, even among her older cultivars. Some of them would have scape heights of 18". I grow a lot of her small flowers ( blooms between 3-4.5") and miniatures ( blooms under 3" in diameter) that are patterned but don't know without looking them all up whether their scape heights would fall under 18". Some would! Grace Stamile has some patterned diploids also and many of hers would be 18" or shorter.

Thanks for the suggestions. Salter has some great plants. However, I am looking specifically for tetraploids. I was just wondering if anyone had any that they could recommend that stood out to them. These will be in containers so size is important to me. BTW I love your avatar flower. What cultivar is that?
