I love watching ducks and geese and the other birds that prefer places with lots of water. Unfortunately the lake that at times was 12 miles away from us no longer is. There's still some limited body of water over by the dam, but it's farther away and I don't think there's any public access over there.

I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. E. B.White
