After much more research & investigation I have determined this is L. "Natchez" as Dave stated right off the bat.
So she's going int he db as soon as I get a chance to put her there.
The good news is that it looks like the crepes were only crepe murdered maybe 2 years so the damage isn't irreversible.
The bad news is that the crepes were planted too close together & it will be a hard, heavy & costly undertaking to move them at this point. There are a few that were apparently planted last year & are small enough that dh & I can move them ourselves this fall/winter so at least those will be good to go!
