I'm not sure of the cut-off date for *historic* -- there's a lot of disagreement on that topic by the powers that be. But I believe that Irises from the 70's qualify -- and Irises from the 80's and newer do not.

OK I'm new here and don't know all the ins and outs of this site. I suppose name is added in the profile? Haven't done that yet. (As an aside, I really am annoyed by all those blinking smileys etc.)
You are right, I was not very clear about linking Meme's Bronze and Dauntless. What I meant was, I have a similar iris, Dauntless, which I spent a lot of time Id-ing. I knew mine was older than 40 years, hence, a historic. It also has PBF which makes it easier to identify. I was just suggesting that Meme's Bronze could be a historic also, although which one may be hard to determine, as there are a lot of similar ones. I really like one of the features in the HIPS publication, Roots, which is to show several similar historics together, which makes it easier to distinguish which is which.
