Thanks so much ... for your input! I had these plants in a number of years and never had to bother the Earwigs before, because I did not see any damage enough to worrying about.
NOW This is way beyond anything I've EVER had before.
There are so many they are eating my blooms. On my smaller Daylilies they destroyed all the blooms! They are gone! My larger plants they are working on now. Like Daylily said it is the rain, if it is not off and on rain we are getting, it is HEAVY RAIN instead. We barely have enough time to cut the grass here. Flash flood warnings all the time now. It sure is wet for July!
