Those are some lovely lilies. I haven't been on this forum for a while, and had forgotten just how much I love the lilies. My Silk Road lilies usually reach 7' or more, but this summer, they are around 4'. I'm wondering if the heat and drought from this summer AND the last 2 summers is causing this? African Queen, Scheherezade (sp) and some of Buggycrazy's lilies are not putting out nearly as many buds this time around. Is that the lack of rain?
Some of my newer ones that bloomed for the first time surprised me with incredible scent! Bonus!
Here's what they look like after 8 days over 100 degrees, and constant dry wind, no rain. Normally these grow to the top of the trellis. The yellow coloring has almost completely faded out. Crying

Remember that children, marriages, and flower gardens reflect the kind of care they get.
