I really love to grow veggies. If I HAD to choose between veggies and flowers I would choose growing veggies. Very fortunately I don't have to choose between them and can (and do) grow lots of both.

Some years ago I tried to cut back on the veggies thinking I would plant a small amount, just enough for me. Well, that did not work out so well as friends would ask for veggies and I didn't have enough to go around. Soon all the vast amounts of veggies were back. And this year I have expanded to growing eggplant, zucchini and yellow squash. Never grew those before.

It really makes me happy to be able to give lots and lots and lots away.
