Gigi, I'm usually dealing with rust by this time of year, too. But this year a series of events seems to have delayed it a bit. I had the start of what we call the "black plague" on my orchids, a fungal infection that causes the leaves to turn black and rot. So I resorted to adding a little fungicide to my regular orchid spray program. The plummies seem to have got in the way Angel of that spray a couple of times, and so far, no rust!
Here's my little variegated one, coming along nicely in its new pot.
