June, that is a Viceroy! I seldom see them except sometimes when I go hiking through the swamps where the willows (their host plant) grows. I've only ever seen one in my garden in the last five years or so.

Jay, you've got a Checkered Skipper there. Possibly a Tropical Checkered Skipper. They're really hard to tell apart. I see them every now and then in my garden.
