I am sooooo glad I found this thread.
I have gone to You-tube videos for answers but was disappointed.
I am new to succulent planting and have gathered a few objects to use as planters.
A few are quite deep.
My question : what do you use to fill the bottom of a 14 inch tall X 7 inch diameter tin bucket?
Is the whole thing filled with soil ?( seems a waste of soil) Wouldnt stone be too heavy?
I use fillers in my annual containers on the deck but smaller containers cant handle cans and peanuts.
What is the minimum soil requirement for succulents?
My containers are drilled so drainage isnt a problem.
