You will not lose them. They love the cold. They make all those juicy baby semps under the snow.

I ordered some semps one year and they sent them to me in Nov. I kept them in the garage until March. They all bloomed and did not make any babies.

After I did some research I found what happens if they do not get cold enough. It stress them and when a plant is stressed it thinks survival. Flower to make seeds. Especially with semps. I guess it takes more energy to make semp babies and it is easier to make a flower.
